Chief Executive Officer – Wearables and Growth Platforms

Ranil Vitarana leads MAS’ Wearables and Growth Platforms, with responsibility for scaling the Group’s new ventures, including Softmatter and Wavetec, while driving strategic partnerships and innovation-led opportunities beyond the core apparel business.

With over 20 years of diverse industry experience, Ranil has been able to foster successful collaborations between academia, industry, corporates, start-ups and national initiatives. His professional expertise is strengthened by a technical background and an intrinsic entrepreneurial mindset that seeks to connect the dots between B2B customer requirements and end-consumer needs through diverse new business models and first-to-market products and value propositions.

Ranil holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Imperial College, London and has completed his Executive education from Singularity University, USA.
